Wies Bratby – Founder of Women of Agency

Wies Bratby is a career negotiation expert, TEDx speaker, and the founder of Women of Agency – a career advancement coaching program specifically designed for corporate professional women who want to stop competing for roles and start co-creating and negotiating them.

Wies’ background is what sets her apart from every other career coach in this space. She began her career as a lawyer at the number one law firm in the Netherlands, mastering high-stakes negotiation on multimillion-dollar cases – including the team that secured the largest settlement in Dutch legal history. She later became Global HR Director at a billion-dollar multinational, where she made the promotions, compensation, and hiring decisions that shaped hundreds of careers across multiple countries and cultures.

What she witnessed in that role changed everything: brilliant, accomplished women consistently working harder than their male counterparts, only to receive less recognition, fewer opportunities, and significantly lower pay. Not because of lack of talent, but because they had never been taught how to advocate for themselves strategically.

In 2017, Wies left the corporate world to fix that. The Women of Agency program combines negotiation methodology, insider HR knowledge, and academic research on gender dynamics to teach women exactly how to position themselves, build strategic relationships, co-create roles at two to three levels above their current position, and negotiate compensation that reflects their impact. Clients achieve an average salary increase of 93%.

Wies has delivered workshops and keynotes for, amongst others, Google, Amazon, Roche, and INSEAD, and leads a community of 850+ professional women across industries and continents.
